Our Care Team

Claire Del Signore, MD

Dr. Del Signore is a board-certified pediatrician with admitting privileges to Good Samaritan Hospital and EI Camino Hospital–Los Gatos Campus. She graduated magna cum laude from Ithaca College and obtained her medical doctorate from SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, where she also completed her pediatric residency training. Dr. Del Signore relocated to San Jose in 1999 with her husband, pediatric gastroenterologist Adel Abi-Hanna, MD, and joined the practice in 2015. They have two active boys, who provide them with plenty of great stories as well as front-line parenting experiences.

Tomomi Hayashi, MD

Dr. Hayashi completed her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine and holds a master’s in public health in sociocultural diversity and health from the University of California, Irvine. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where she treated a wide array of patients with complex medical problems and worked with families from diverse backgrounds. She joined the practice in 2017. She believes proactive care from an early age gives kids the best chance of staying healthy. Toward this effort, she loves to teach and work with families to create the best environment for healthy living and growth. Building relationships with families based on trust and openness is very important to her, and she brings those qualities to her practice.

Virginia Li, MD

Dr. Li was born and raised in the Bay Area and left to pursue medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where she fell in love with the field of pediatrics. She went on to complete her pediatric internship and residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, where she enjoyed making meaningful connections with her patients from infancy to adolescence. She is happy to be back in the Bay Area, joining the practice in 2021, and appreciates the vibrant and diverse community as well as the natural beauty of Northern California.

Mekhla Varma, MD

Mekhla Varma, MD

Dr. Varma finds great satisfaction in taking care of children. She grew up in India, where she earned her medical degree at Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Her medical education brought her to New York, where she completed her residency at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, in Brooklyn. She has continued to pursue her clinical interests in the fields of integrative medicine, breastfeeding medicine, and pediatric connective tissue disorders. Dr. Varma joined the practice as a full-time pediatrician in 2023. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys music, reading, photography, and hiking with her husband and two children.
