First of all…congratulations on taking the time to learn about a program that can help you become healthier! A lot of kids don’t understand how important healthy eating and exercise habits are. What is the Pediatric Weight Control Program?

The Pediatric Weight Control Program helps overweight kids and their families change their eating and exercise habits and create healthy lifestyles for years to come.

Who is it for?

The program is for kids ages 8-12 and teenagers ages 13-15. Kids and teens must come to every session with a parent. Parents need to learn how to change their eating and exercise habits too.

How does it work?

We meet in groups of 12 families every week for six months. That’s 25 weeks! During each group session, you and your parent learn how to improve your eating and exercise habits. You will set a goal every week to make these healthy changes in your life.

How much weight will I lose?

Our program is NOT a "diet" where you try to lose as much weight as possible. That is not healthy. Slow weight loss is better for you and is more likely to last. The goal of the program is to help you lose up to one pound per week. Remember, you are still growing taller, so if you simply stay the same weight you are now, you will become less overweight!

How do I sign up?
