Dr. Baird thoroughly enjoys children and their families. Her passion is building a strong, collaborative partnership with parents from the time they bring their newborn home from the hospital through seeing their adolescent off to college. She draws on experiences from her education and training at the University of California, San Francisco; working as a neonatal hospitalist at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center; teaching clinical pediatrics at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center; and being a mother to four young sons. She joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2013. Outside of work, Dr. Baird loves spending time with her family and enjoys reading, travel, and playing piano. She has worked abroad and is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Tan has clinical interests that encompass all of general pediatrics, but he especially enjoys getting to know children and their families. Dr. Tan has been on the yearly list of the Bay Area’s Top Doctors by San Francisco Magazine since 2015, and in 2020 he received the Sutter Medical Quality Care Award. He joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2012. When not at work, Dr. Tan enjoys biking, traveling, movies, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Dr. Tanaka is passionate about being both a mother and a doctor. She truly values the relationships she develops with her patients and families over time. Dr. Tanaka is devoted to helping families and children create healthy habits and important life skills from the start. Her areas of interest include nutrition, integrative medicine, child behavior, and development. She joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2012 and received the Sutter Medical Quality Care Award in 2019. In her spare time, Dr. Tanaka enjoys running, cooking, returning to her roots and family in Hawaii, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Wanderman enjoys caring for children of all ages, especially newborns. Dr. Wanderman strives to understand the child in the context of the whole family and seeks to develop a collaborative relationship with the patient and family, whether they’re discussing complex conditions or an overall approach to wellness and healing. He joined the practice in 2013. He enjoys vegetarian cooking, hiking, running, and spending time with his wife and two children. He is the chair of pediatrics for Mills-Peninsula Medical Center.
Dr. Yuan enjoys caring for children of all ages and working collaboratively with families through all aspects of pediatric care. As a mother of two boys, she has a strong interest in working with new parents and has given talks in the community on topics related to pediatrics and parenting. She has worked with children in international and disaster-relief settings. She joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and reading.
Dr. Zivitz enjoys the range of pediatrics and takes great pleasure in assisting parents in navigating the various stages of childhood from birth through adolescence. She has a particular interest in nutrition as well as newborn issues, having worked in the nurseries at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center and California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. She is also interested in helping parents understand the impact of social media and screens on our children and teens. She joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2012. When not at work, Dr. Zivitz enjoys running, camping, traveling, reading, and baking, as well as spending time with her three boys.
Dr. Kadon received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Ohio, did an internship in general surgery at UC Davis Medical Center, and completed a general pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Additionally, he graduated as a flight surgeon, U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, and served in the Air National Guard. He joined the practice in 2022. When not working, Dr. Kadon enjoys traveling with his wife and sports such as football, track and field, and baseball.
Dr. Kaufman graduated with honors from NYU Grossman School of Medicine in New York and completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She enjoys the entire range of pediatrics and takes particular interest in newborns and the issues that new parents face. As a mother of two children, she loves providing practical, mom-tested advice to her patients. She joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2012. In 2016, she was the recipient of both the Sutter Medical Quality Care Award and the Clinical Excellence Award for Primary Care from the Packard Children’s Health Alliance. She has written several articles for new parents on parenting skills.
Dr. Renschler grew up on the Peninsula and is delighted to be taking care of children in her home community. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, completed her pediatric residency at the Stanford School of Medicine, and joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2023. Newborn care holds a special place in Dr. Renschler’s heart, and she’s deeply committed to forging long-term relationships with both parents and their children from infancy through adolescence. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, family, and friends.
Dr. Shahin received her medical degree from the University of Jordan School of Medicine and completed her pediatrics residency at New York City Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan, affiliated with New York Medical College. She joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2023. She lives in the South Bay with her husband and two daughters. When not working, she teaches Social Emotional Learning at her daughters’ elementary school.
Dr. Harper loves working with children and families to come up with creative solutions tailored to each family’s lifestyle and approach. She draws from her experience as a pediatric hospitalist at Stanford, a teacher, and a medical volunteer in Argentina and Haiti. After working in the NICU, she developed a special interest in caring for newborns and supporting new parents. She is passionate about environmental health and empowering families to keep their children safe and healthy, from the foods they eat to where they live and play. She joined the practice in 2020. Dr. Harper grew up in the Bay Area and enjoys living in San Francisco, where her hobbies include hiking in the Presidio, birdwatching, dancing, and reading.
Dr. Hart-Cooper graduated with honors from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed his pediatric residency at the University of California, San Francisco. He also completed additional fellowships at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Fulbright. As a former teacher and swim coach, he is known for making visits comfortable and educational for both kids and parents. He enjoys the breadth of pediatrics and works with children of all ages—newborns, toddlers, school-age children, and adolescents. He joined the practice in 2017. He has a particular interest in working with adolescents as they transition into adulthood, as well as LGBTQ youth and families.
Dr. Jindal creates compassionate bonds with her patients and works collaboratively with their families for a team-centered approach to health care for children of all ages. She is passionate about helping new parents and enjoys teaching newborn baby care classes at local medical centers. She joined the practice in 2014. Because of her training in endocrinology, Dr. Jindal specializes in issues pertaining to growth, puberty, and nutrition. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and believes that being a mother has made her a more empathetic pediatrician.
Dr. Le spent her youth in the Bay Area, graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, before leaving to attend Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There, she received her master’s degree in health care policy and management. She returned to the Bay Area to study at the UC Berkeley–UCSF Joint Medical Program, where she received her medical degree and a master’s in health and medical sciences. Dr. Le joined the practice in 2022. Her experience as a new mother inspired her to complete additional study in lactation to better support other new parents. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with family and friends, traveling, and baking.
Dr. Yang provides comprehensive care for children of all ages and has special interest in child development and preventive care. She is passionate about serving the community and building strong relationships with families in her practice. Dr. Yang enjoys working with new parents, and teaches newborn and baby care classes at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center. Dr. Yang joined Peninsula Pediatric Medical Group in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and violin; traveling; volunteering with local community groups; and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter.
