“I want parents to know that we are on the same team and that I will partner with them.”
It’s a miracle to watch people grow from infants into young adults. Seeing my patients develop with every checkup is such a privilege.
I see many different types of families from different cultural backgrounds, so I make sure to be respectful of their values. Every child and family is unique, and what works for one child won’t necessarily work for another child.
It’s important to be flexible and have options so that each family can find what works best for them. I always listen carefully to find out what matters to each family, and then I tailor my care to meet their needs. I want parents to know that we are on the same team and that I will partner with them on this journey.
