Dra. Rei Masui

Dr. Masui believes in giving a voice to children who can’t speak for themselves yet and in providing support and compassion for the families in her practice. In addition to her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, she earned a master of public health from San Diego State University Graduate School of Public Health in California, where she also did her residency in preventive medicine. In her free time, she loves to travel and explore the Bay Area with her son and their dog.

Dra. Joelle McConlogue

Dr. McConlogue received her bachelor of science from Brigham Young University and then attended medical school at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and spent an extra year as chief resident. Dr. McConlogue spent many years practicing on the East Coast, worked in an inner-city clinic, was involved in academic medicine teaching medical students and residents, and later joined a large suburban private practice. Having spent much of her childhood living overseas, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and four children.

Dra. Ramona Rico

Dr. Rico started her path with a focus on science, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. During her formative years, she volunteered on numerous health-related service projects in Latin America and India, which ultimately sparked the inspiration to pursue medicine as a career. Dr. Rico received her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She went on to complete her residency at Children’s Hospital and Research Center at Oakland. Supporting humanitarian causes is part of her core values, and she has had the privilege of serving on multiple medical missions overseas. Outside of her career, Dr. Rico has two children, and she enjoys hiking in her free time. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Dr. Graham Vallis

Dr. Vallis comes from a long line of physicians who inspired him to go into medicine. After growing up in Southern California, he graduated from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, in Augusta, Georgia, before moving to the Bay Area for his residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Outside of work, he enjoys the exciting and vibrant lifestyle of the East Bay. He also spends time in the mountains hiking and skiing with his wife and their dog.

Dra. Emily West

Dr. West received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. She attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Throughout her career, she has worked with community organizations such as Covenant House (a shelter for homeless youth) and the Family Resource Centers in San Francisco. Through these experiences, she has learned the importance of connecting families in the clinic to the valuable resources available in their community. Dr. West speaks Spanish, and her special interests include early childhood development, parenting skills, and preventive medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
