From an early age, I felt being a doctor was my calling. As a teen I would babysit and help with my younger siblings; caring for children always felt natural to me. I also love science, so it was just the perfect combination for me.

Young children can’t always communicate what they need; their parents must speak for them. No one knows a child better than the parents, so I trust their instincts. When parents come to me with questions or concerns, I want to be flexible and encouraging. There is more than one right answer, so we can work together to find the right path.

The road from newborn to a teenager is full of big transitions. They both need different kinds of support; I love being there for that. It’s great to be able to help guide parents through these big changes as well.
