In pediatrics, you get to follow children from birth to young adulthood and experience the changes and progression of their development. It’s an important relationship where interventions at an early stage can help set them on the path for the best health possible. It’s especially true for adolescents on the cusp of adulthood.

Communication, empathy, and shared decision-making, combined with evidence-based medical research and medical informatics, are some of the tools I employ to best treat patients. I listen carefully and intently to parents’ concerns because I believe that everybody’s input is important. It’s a privilege to be allowed into my patients’ lives to provide care and to help lay a foundation for habits that set them on a path for a healthy, long life.
