I always knew that my calling involved working with children. Pediatrics offers the perfect blend of caring for children and being part of a team that educates families on optimizing their health. Pediatric cardiology is the perfect match for me; I am fascinated by the heart and particularly congenital heart disease. Each child's diagnosis presents a unique puzzle that needs to be solved.

Fetal diagnoses are often emotionally charged and complex, given the significance of that period for families. Helping families navigate through these challenging times is what I find most rewarding. I provide families with a realistic understanding of the diagnosis and collaborate with them on treatment plans. What makes pediatric cardiology special is that many of the conditions we encounter can be repaired or effectively managed, allowing children to lead fulfilling lives. Though we face hurdles along the way, the ever-evolving nature of our field presents exciting opportunities.

Raising twins has taught me further that each child is unique and deserves tailored care. Even within the same family, children have different needs. I bring this understanding to my interactions with families, recognizing that each parent and child will have their own approach and desires for their familys well-being.
