Associate Professor
Pediatric Radiology
I am a dual-trained adult and pediatric interventional radiologist with over two decades of clinical experience and a focus on precision delivery of advanced therapies (cell, cell-free, gene, energies, etc.). My goal is to pioneer new minimally invasive ways to directly target, and deliver, existing and new therapies to children. As a physician-scientist, my goal is to translate new findings from the laboratory to the bedside to improve patient care and well-being. My research interests include islet biology, stem cells and regenerative medicine, and medical device development for precision delivery. My clinical areas of expertise include liver interventions, bowel interventions, ablative therapies (using cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation, high-intensity focused ultrasound, etc.), bone interventions, and islet transplantation—where we can restore glycemic control in diabetic patients who would otherwise need insulin to normally regulate their blood sugar levels.
My vision is to always treat the child and family together, offering a caring, compassionate, and holistic approach, offering innovative solutions to conditions to improve the health and well-being of my patients.
