Whenever I got sick as a kid, my mom would take me to this big children’s hospital. I found what doctors did so fascinating. The visit was always very enjoyable, and it made me think, "I can help kids, too."

It’s important for me to listen to children and their parents patiently and address their concerns. Understanding the family dynamics and their cultural background helps me to provide a holistic approach. I trained in Western medicine, but I grew up in Chinese culture, and part of our education was Chinese medicine, so I have that knowledge as well. I am fluent in Mandarin.

Children are so precious, they’re so innocent, and they want to learn and explore the world, so to see them thrive and grow and be a small part of their lives and provide guidance to help them and their families is so rewarding. I have the best job.
